Without suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the last week, the previously undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers lost a tight one at home, falling 17-14 to the Baltimore Ravens. While the Steelers went down for the first time of the season, the Cleveland Browns earned their first victory, topping their in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. The Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers were not as lucky with each posting their fourth loss in as many weeks. Buffalo was dominated by the New York Jets 38-14, Detroit fell to Green Bay 28-26, Carolina came up just short in a 16-14 loss to New Orleans and San Francisco was defeated 16-14 by Atlanta. In the upset of the week, the Jacksonville Jaguars edged out the Indianapolis Colts with a 31-28 win. Josh Scobee was the hero for the Jaguars, hitting a 59-yard field goal in the final moments to earn the win. Donovan McNabb made the most of his return to Philadelphia, leading the Washington Redskins to a 17-12 victory over the Eagles. Kevin Kolb was the go-to passer in the game after Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick was injured in the contest.
